On behalf of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletic Department, we would like to thank you for your continued support of Husker Athletics. Just as vital to our success as your support is your adherence to NCAA legislation as it pertains to your interactions with UNL student-athletes and prospective student-athletes.
Please remember these two key NCAA rules:
1. No Recruiting: Please leave the recruiting to the coaching staffs. It is not permissible to have recruiting contact (e.g. face-to-face, letters, phone calls, text messages, emails, social media, etc.) with a recruit or his/her family, friends or coaches/teachers.
2. No Gifts: It is not permissible to provide UNL student-athletes, prospective student-athletes or their family, friends or coaches/ teachers with items or services for free or at a discounted price (e.g. money, meals, apparel, car repair, tickets, access), unless the items or services are offered for free or at a discounted price toALL members of the public or to ALL UNL students or prospective students.
Thank you for taking the time to read the information above. These reminders will assist our efforts in protecting the eligibility of all UNL student-athletes and prospective student-athletes. If you have questions, please contact us at 402-472-2042 or Compliance@Huskers.com.
