Our special guest speaker is Associate Athletic Director for Football, former Husker standout Matt Davison!

Matt Davison is in his fourth season serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Football. A former Husker football and basketball player, Davison was a teammate of Scott Frost. Davison joined Frost's staff after a career in the medical sales field, but Davison always remained involved with Nebraska Athletics as a color commentator for football and men’s basketball radio broadcasts. Davison is still an analyst for the Huskers Radio Network game-day football broadcasts.

In addition to his day-to-day role with the football program, Davison is heavily involved in the planning and design of Nebraska's new Football Performance Center, part of the athletic department's $155 million, 350,000-square foot expansion project.

Davison was a four-year wide receiver from 1997 to 2000, finishing his career ranked second in school history with 93 receptions (currently 13th) and 1,456 receiving yards (currently 11th). He was a three-time honorable-mention All-Big 12 selection and was a part of two Big 12 championship teams and the 1997 national championship team. In 1997, Davison caught a touchdown pass from Scott Frost that deflected off fellow split end Shevin Wiggins’ foot on the final play of regulation to force overtime at Missouri, a game the Huskers went on to win to preserve their perfect season. That play took home the 1997 ESPY for the College Football and Overall Play of the Year.

Davison also excelled in the classroom at Nebraska, as he was a three-time first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree and twice was named to the academic all-district team. Davison was also recognized for his work in the community as a two-time member of the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team. Davison earned his degree in communication studies from Nebraska in 2001.

Matt and his wife, Allie, have a daughter, Reece, and a son, Teddy.

Some of you will remember when the club met in the party room at the 61st & Sheridan location of Pepper's Grill. Our Christmas Party will be in the same location, on the back side of what is now Oklahoma Joe's Barbeque! The buffet will feature three meats, Pulled Pork; Chopped Brisket; and Sliced Turkey with sides of Macaroni & Cheese, and "The Best Beans on the Planet." In addition to iced tea, sweet iced tea, and water, there is a cash bar.

You have two registration options:

1) Join us live and in-person for friendship, fellowship, food, drink, and drawings for Husker door prizes ($23 per person);

2) Join us from home virtually via Zoom ($10 per household).

We will have door prizes galore, and you must be present to win.

Our special guest speaker, Matt Davison, will join us via Zoom at 7:00 PM.
